Fulton County Gloversville, NY Robert J. Darling, 63, of Francis St., Gloversville, NY died Friday morning June 27, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Gloversville, NY on July 29, 1944 a son of Ralph and Gladys Warner Darling. He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1961 to 1968 and served overseas in Scotland for a time. He was last employed by Cumberland Farms of Canton, Mass as a District Manager and worked for a time in Schenectady, NY. He was a member if the Restored Church of God of Wadsworth Ohio and Clifton Park, NY. He married Lloydrea Howe Darling on May 13, 1964. In addition to his wife survivor's include his mother Gladys Darling of Gloversville. Four sons, Michael Darling Denise of Gloversville, NY. David Darling and companion Rex Witbeck of Gloversville, NY, Steven Darling Laura of Gloversville, NY. Aaron Sharon of Gloversville, NY. Six daughters, Lisa Carberry Mike of Boston, MA, Judi Trochimiak Bill Boston, MA, Colleen Darling of Rochester, NY, Kathleen Trifaro Joe of Pennsylvania, Rachel Fonda Bill of Ft. Plain, NY and Tia Fountain Dave of Johnstown, NY. Seventeen grandchildren also survive. A Graveside Funeral service was held on Sunday June 29th, 2008 at the Union Rural Cemetery Union Mills Cemetery, Union Mills Rd, Broadalbin with full military honors. There were no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
