Evans, Robert Winfield ?Bob,? 80, of St. Petersburg, died Monday January 24, 2005 at the Oaks of Clearwater. He came here in 1945 from his native Oklahoma City, OK. He was of the Christian faith. He served as Captain and Company Commander in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was owner and operator in St. Petersburg, Tampa and Naples of Rick and Fleece Lumber Company, the Benton and Baycon Companies, Industrial Concrete Industries, the Bob Evans Group, and The Naples Bath & Tennis Club. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Egypt Temple Shrine. He was a 50+ years Platinum member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and a member of the Naples Bath and Tennis Club. He was an international businessman and world traveler. He was a life member and contributor to the Republican National Committee. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anne St. Clair Bussey and his second wife, Hazel Talley Evans. Survivors include three daughters: Maegan Dustin, Naples, FL; Deborah Evans, Pinellas Park; and Janet Young, Seminole; one granddaughter, Jennifer Anne St. Clair Huhn, Naples, FL ; one niece, Melinda Mitchell, Lubbock, Texas; the Walter Talley family; and the Alex Talley family.
