Robert E. Fontaine
January 1st, 1927 - November 25th, 2005
"Robert J. Fontaine, 78, died Friday, November 26, 2005 at home. Born in Chicopee, he was the son of the late Eudore J. and Antoinette (Desautels) Fontaine and was a graduate of Chicopee High School. He lived and worked in New York City for twenty-five years before moving to Fort Lauderdale. While in Florida, he worked as a short order chef before retiring. He also served with the U.S. Navy for four years. Bob loved playing cards and an occasional trip to the Indian Casino in Florida. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother E. Joseph Fontaine of Wellesley Hills. He is survived by two brothers Raymond E. of Fort Lauderdale and Harwich, MA and Lester E. of East Longmeadow, MA, along with 12 nieces and nephews and many close friends in Fort Lauderdale. A memorial service is planned for the spring and Bob will be buried with his parents in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Aldenville, MA. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Hospice Foundation, 123S.E. 3rd Ave., P.B.M., Miami, FL 33131-2003. Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements"
