Robert Bernard Greenbaum, 95, of Largo, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and lived there for 19 years before moving to Georgia to attend college at Georgia Tech. After college, he briefly returned to Chicago, got married, and then made numerous relocations as he pursued a career in Architecture, building homes, malls, and other structures. His journey took him from Des Moines, Iowa, and south through the Florida Keys before settling in Saint Petersburg in 1961. There, he built his own home and raised his children.

Robert was passionate about being involved in his community and, thus consequently, dedicated his time to numerous Florida organizations and planning boards, holding countless titles to include, serving in the Saint Petersburg Symphony Society as their director from 1967 to 1970, the Pinellas Youth Symphony as president, corresponding secretary, director, and advisor committee between 1964 to 1969, a Temple Beth-El director and co-chairman house and building committee during 1966 to 1969, the Florida West coast Georgia Tech Alumni Association treasurer, vice-president of Pinellas county, and president during 1964 to 1970, the Azalea Middle School PTA president and vice president in 1972 to 1974, the Boy Scouts of America as vice chairman and treasurer from 1971 to 1976, the Coast Guard Auxiliary as Instructor, Flotilla Secretary-Treasurer, Flotilla Vice Commander, and Commander during 1966 to 1975, the Civic Advisory Committee as a community advisor from 1973 to 1975, the Florida Chapter of AIA during 1973 to 1985, the State Planning Committee from 1974 to 1976, the Department of License Inspections as acting chairman, vice chairmen and board member from 1973 to 1976, the National Railroad Association, Sunshine Regional as regional chairman, secretary, and president between 1964 to 1986, and the National Model Railroad Association Director from 1966 to 1968. Additionally, he volunteered for many other organizations over the years.

Robert was kind-hearted, wanting others to be okay and self-reliant. He enjoyed sharing stories, telling jokes, or rehearsing theater-day bits using an Irishman's accent. Furthermore, Robert had a zest for photography, especially on vacations. During the last few years, he relished cards and music, watched movies, dined with family, and drove shopping carts in Publix.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Riki. Robert is survived by his children Michael, Ellen, and Susan (Chet) Guiro; Grandchildren Aimee, Jake, Cory, Brittney (Mike), Chris (Susan), and Caitlin (Kevin); Great-Grandchildren Chloe, Hailey, Ace, Kevin, David, and Andrew.
