Obituary Robert "Bob" Eugene Greene, 70, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 23, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on October 6, 1944 to Patrick J. and Zita H. (Driscoll) Greene in Salina, Kansas. On June 27, 1964, he married Mary Josephine Van Dyke in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Robert enjoyed hunting, hockey, and golf and was also very proactive in the labor movement. Robert is survived by his wife Mary Jo of 50 years; his three sons Robert Greene Jr, Richard Greene and his wife Sarah, Michael Greene and his wife Janette; 5 grandchildren Michelle and her husband Josh, Michael and his wife Amanda, Tylor, Madison and Carson; and 3 great grandchildren Brian, Megan and Dylan, all of Colorado Springs; his brother Thomas Greene of Arizona; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Danny, Larry and Paul. A celebration of his life and a time of gathering will be held from 1:00pm 4:00pm on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Cappadona Funeral Home, 1020 E. Fillmore Street in Colorado Springs. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 West Colorado Avenue in Colorado Springs. Robert will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Interim Hospice Center for their loving care and support.
