Robert "Kirk" Hamilton

Robert" Kirk" Hamilton passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Pineville Rehabilitation and Living Center following complications from muscular dystrophy. Kirk was born in Charlotte, NC on January 3, 1966, the son of the late Robert Lee Hamilton and Annie Sue Hamilton. Kirk is survived by his daughter, Carrie "Cara" Hamilton, his brother, Kerrick S. Hamilton, and wife, Lori; his sister-in-law, Debra M. Hamilton; his brother-iin-law, Cameron Keith; his nephews, Jason Hamilton and Joseph Keith; his nieces, Tricia Glover and her husband, Andrew, Lorin Hamilton, and Emily Hamilton. Kirk is preceded in death by his brother, Kenton L. Hamilton and sister, Kimberly H. Keith. Kirk graduated South Mecklenburg High School and was an avid sports fan supporting the Carolina Panthers, NC State University Wolfpack, and the Tampa Bay Rays. We will miss Kirk's quirky humor and positive attitude. A graveside service is being planned for a later date and will be announced to all family and friends once it is confirmed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (www.mda.org/disease).
