Harrop, Robert E. Sr., ?Bob?, 74, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday, December 10, 2002. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and came here in 1971 from Attleboro, Massachusetts. He was Methodist. He served in the in the United States Army, during WWII, Korean Conflict and as a Green Beret Special Forces during the Vietnam War. He retired from the military as a staff sergeant. He was employed by, Maher Chevrolet from 1973 until 1993 as an auto mechanic. He survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Harrop of St. Petersburg, a daughter Carol Beaulieu, of Oakdale, CT, a son Robert Harrop Jr., of Pinellas Park, 2 sisters Ruth Avery of Westfield, MA and Marion Barnes of South Wick, MA, one brother Harold Harrop of Edminton, KY, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
