Robert A. Hilton

Robert A. Hilton, age 87, peacefully passed away on Monday August 21, 2023, in Rockledge, FL. Bob was born April 5, 1936, in St. Charles, VA to parents, Stallard and Mary (Webb) Hilton. He was raised in Kingsport, TN, along with his three brothers and one sister. After graduating from Blountville High School, Bob enlisted in the Army where he proudly served 3 years, attaining the rank of SGT. Upon return from the military, Bob attended East Tennessee State University. After marrying the love of his life, Bob moved to Indiana and then finally settled in Rockledge working at Kennedy Space Center for 32 years until his retirement. He is preceded in death by brother Don Hilton, brother Rand Hilton, brother Mike Hilton and sister Joyce Greene. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Davidson) Hilton of Rockledge, Fl; their Sons, Allen (Michelle) Hilton of Rockledge, FL, and Mike (Heather) Hilton of Maryville, TN; and grandchildren Michael Hilton, Allison (Liam) Henzmann and Ashley Dorsey. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the VITAS Healthcare Facility in Rockledge for their exceptional care of Bob in his final days. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 30, 2023, with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM at Beckman & Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Dr. Viera, FL 32955. Interment will be held in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754, on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2023 at 9:30AM.
