Robert H. Hubbard, February 12, 1923 - March 16, 2011 88 of Wheat Ridge. Memorial Service 10:00 AM Saturday, March 26, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 3900 Pierce St., Wheat Ridge. Bob was born in Gillette, Wyoming. He lived his early years on a homestead in northern Wyoming with his parents and seven siblings. After serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps as an airplane mechanic, he earned his college degree at Pasadena City College. Bob was transferred to Denver with his company-AMACO Oil- for which he worked as a draftsman for 31 years. Bob met his beloved wife Kathleen (Kay) Kelty at a square dance, and they were married in 1969. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who traveled by foot, bicycle, boat, train and plane throughout the U.S. and abroad. Bob was an active member of the SkiMeisters and the Colorado Mountain Club, and lead expeditions throughout Colorado even into his golden years, and was still skiing at 85, Bob is preceded in death by siblings Bette Cole and Charles Hubbard. He is survived by his wife Kay, and siblings John Hubbard, Marjorie McKenzie, Mona Hunt, Peggy Faler and Pauline Raver.
