Robert Charles Ledford

November 14th, 1943 - April 25th, 2013

Robert Charles (Bud) Ledford Nov. 14, 1943 – Apr.25, 2013 Bud Ledford, 69 of Wilder, died of natural causes on April 25, in Grandview. Bud passed away while on a fishing trip, with his beloved wife Sandy by his side. Bud was born to Maxine, and Kenneth Ledford on Nov.14, 1943 in Kirksville, MO. Bud is preceded in death, by his mother, father, and Jerry Sherrill (stepbrother). Bud is survived by his wife, of 32 yrs., Sandy Ledford, Robert Sherrill (stepfather), Lavonne Phillips (sister), Tom Ledford (brother), Bob Sherrill (stepbrother), his son and daughter, David and Terry Ledford, (stepchildren) Becky Roth, and Cheri Hall. He has 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, as well as several aunts, nieces, and nephews. Bud lived most of his life in Idaho, here he learned to hunt and fish, and loved doing so whenever he got the chance, a true Outdoorsman. It was no surprise he made the Donnelly area his home for many years. During his career as a Heavy Equipment Operator, he built roads for the Forest Service, and worked for various Paving companies in the Boise valley. After making Donnelly his home, he worked for Valley County. Bud retired from the Valley County Rd. Dept. It has been stated, he could make any piece of equipment he worked, seem to dance. Watching him work was mesmerizing. He was a true master of his trade. Bud had one of those super personalities, with his MacGyver type creativity, and inquisitive mind, he was always tinkering with some project. He had a love for nature, and all things, and was kind to everyone. His infectious giggle, could surely make you laugh, Bud was just nice to be around. He spoke often of the fond memories he had camping, when he was younger, with his Aunt Vicky, the many fun outings he shared later in life, with family and friends, he loved to reminisce these good times, over a cup of coffee. It was only recently, Bud reported, he could not be gone from home, more than 2 to 3 days tops, because Smokey, his cat, might not remember him, if he was away too long. Don’t worry, Bud, we will all remember you, so will Smokey. At his request there will be no service. Service Information
