Memorial

LEHNER, Robert Michael, 82, passed away on January 25, 2015. He was born on August 17, 1932 in Oberbibrach, Germany to Josef and Barbara Schmidt Lehner. Robert spent his childhood in Weiden, Germany, where he met the love of his life, Luise Cyrys, when they were both teenagers. He followed her family, immigrating to the United States in 1953. They were married in Chicago, Illinois on May 29, 1954. Robert served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1958, where he learned what was to be his lifelong trade in the printing industry. In 1967, the couple moved to Tucson with their four children. Robert worked for Sun Publishing in Tucson from 1967 until it closed in 1982. He then moved to Tempe, Arizona, and worked for Webcrafter's, Inc. before retiring and returning to Tucson in 1998. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Luise; three sons, Robert Jr. (Diane), Ronald (Sandra) and Richard (Roxana) Lehner; daughter, Lisanne (Albert Grimsey) and seven grandchildren, Martin, Jason, Katie, Kurt, Michelle, Eric and Alison. He also leaves behind his brother, Emil Lehner; sister, Lydia Hampl, in Germany and sister-in-law, Sieglinde Bolus of Tucson, along with many nieces and nephews in both countries. It is with broken hearts we say good-bye, but the light he leaves in our lives will always outshine our sadness at his loss. Our family offers grateful thanks to Golden Hope 2 ACH and Family Care Hospice for their committed, loving care in our father's final days. Due to the frail health of our mother, services will be held at a later date to be announced. Remembrances in Robert's name may be offered to your local Veteran's support group. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
