Robert E. Lepic
June 6th, 1921 - January 10th, 2021
Lepic, Robert E. June 6, 1921 - January 10, 2021 Robert E. Lepic, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away while under Hospice care, on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the age of 99 years. Born in Chicago, Illinois June 6, 1921, Bob earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. While earning a living as an engineer, he exercised the breath of his intellectual curiosity, earning another Master's degree, this in Psychology from Columbia University. Bob's pursuit of his undergraduate degree was interrupted while he enlisted in the Army Signal Corp to support our efforts in World War II. He spent most of his time in the service in England, working on what was then the very new technology, Radar, installing it in the aircraft flying bombing missions over Europe. After the war and finishing his technical degrees, Bob worked in engineering at RCA, Sylvania and others before working as a consultant to the US Strategic Air Command, with Top Secret clearance, developing B-52 flight support systems. In his last corporate position with John's Manville, Bob was in planning and technology. That position took him to Denver where he lived out his remaining years. In those remaining decades Bob joined with Larry Lindquist to publish the very successful "Lindquist/Lepic Market Letter", he joined the Unitarian Universalist Church where he met and developed a deep relationship with Phyllis Franks. Together with friends, they traveled Europe and Africa in addition to the US. Bob is survived by his cousin, Gene Lepic and many loving friends. Bob is being cremated and memorial services for him will be held later in the year in consideration of Covid-19.
