Robert W. Lincoln
October 7th, 1930 - April 27th, 2016
Mr. Robert W. Lincoln, 85, of Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday April 27, 2016 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with his family at his side. Born in Taunton, MA on October 7, 1930 a son of Raymond and Irene Willis Lincoln. He completed Draftsman and Machinist Apprentice programs at GE and studied engineering at Union College in Schenectady, NY. He was employed as a Manufacturing Engineer at GE and Intermagnetics General Corporation before retiring in 1990. He also served in the US Army National Guard. Bob loved spending summers with his family at the camp he built in the Adirondacks. He also enjoyed visiting the neighbors, snowmobiling, hunting and mowing his lawn. Robert was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Amsterdam and was a Free and Accepted Mason. He is survived by three daughters, Laurie E. Lincoln of Troy, NY, Deborah (Richard) Huebner of Simsbury, CT, and Robin Lincoln (Alfred) Pasquale of San Rafael, California. Two grandsons, Michael (Tina) Huebner and Matthew Huebner; and his longtime friend, Jane Schlick of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Bob is also survived by his nephews, William Miller of Duxbury, MA, Bradford Miller of Scottsdale, AZ and Benjamin Lincoln of Tacoma, WA. Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia Society, 5 Computer Drive W. #100, Albany, NY 12205 or to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Ave. Staten Island, NY10305
