Robert "Bob" Lobdell

Robert Lobdell, of Franklinville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. He was 75. Legacy Bob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. He had the gift of gab and was pretty much friends with everyone he met. One of his passions in life was "Tinkering" on cars, boats and airplanes. His job, being an Aircraft Mechanic, became more than a job and turned into a lifelong hobby. If Bob's kids, grandkids or others needed help with fixing their cars, changing oil or a tire, or anything else, well, Bob was there for them. He found the importance of not only fixing things for everyone, but also teaching them how to fix it for themselves in the future. His family will attest, "There wasn't anything he couldn't fix." When he was younger, he grew up spending time with his father, flying airplanes. He truly loved spending this special time with his dad. Bob also loved his boat and spent numerous years at Forked River with his family on his boat. Bob could "Do it all", and he truly loved his daily routine and enjoyed being a true "Diner Junkie". He proudly served our country in the US Navy. Family He is the beloved husband to Dawn (Read) Lobdell. They were married on Valentines Day, February 14, 1973, and were together for 49 years! Loving father of Robert Lobdell, Jr., Scott Lobdell (Amie), Christopher Lobdell and Timothy Lobdell; devoted grandfather to Robert, Brianna, Dominick, Sadie, Blake, Gavin & Lacey; dear brother to James (Mary) Lobdell and Debra Gehring (Lobdell). Uncle Bob leaves behind his two nephews, David and Michael and a great nephew, Corey and great niece, Vivian. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's visitation at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096, on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. As a family "Inside Joke" : In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are welcome to "Go with me".
