Caring for my brother-in-law was both challenging and rewarding, but I wouldn't trade that time with him for anything. I cherish the memories of taking our rides during covid. Skeeter was up for adventure driving down dirt roads, dead end roads, unfamiliar territory looking for a "big house!" He'd comment on the windows, architecture, lawn. We would stop for a tuna sub, Mc Donald's carmel frappe, burrito/taco, or a apple fritter donut - all his favorites! We watched various things on tv - baseball & basketball, westerns, log cabin living (he dreamed of living in one), Bill Gaither show, even Hallmark movies. I will miss him.

It was an honor for me getting to know Skeeter ! Our visits were always so very enjoyable, informative and fun, filled with much laughter. Kathy and I always looked forward to our visits with him and Marlene . We knew how very proud they were of their son Steve and family! Skeeter touched many lives both as a teacher and coach. His dedication to family and friends will be remembered by those who knew him. He and his dear wife are now reunited in the arms of God’s loving embrace!
