Robert John Maloney
October 30th, 1987 - April 8th, 2012
Robert J. ?RJ? Maloney, III of Columbia, SC passed away Easter Sunday 2012 after sharing a glorious day at Lake Wateree with his extended family. ?RJ? was born October 30, 1987 at Lexington Hospital in West Columbia, SC. He attended Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, FL. and was at present attending Midlands Technical College and was employed by Five Guys Restaurant. He was hoping to fulfill a lifelong dream after finishing school next month to join the US Army. ?RJ? was the son of the late Robert J Maloney, Jr. and the late Margaret V. (Ginger) Maloney-Craig. He is survived by his beloved sister and brother, Meagan A. Brown and Laurence J. Maloney. Also surviving is his step-father, Curtis Craig of Port Orange, FL; his paternal grandfather, Robert J. (Charletta) Maloney, Sr. of Lexington, SC; his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Abernathy (Kenneth) of Columbia, SC; his maternal grandparents, James A. and Margaret L. Brown Sr. of Columbia, SC. ?RJ? is also survived by his aunt, Stephanie Anderson of West Columbia, SC; an uncle James A. (Susan) Brown, Jr. of Eastover; his aunts, Jane (Bob) Brown of Columbia, Patricia (Larry) Newman of Silverstreet, SC and Suzanne B. (Wade) Bigger-Hodge of Ridgeway, SC; numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. ?RJ? is also survived by one niece, Kaleigh V. Brown who affectionately called him "Uncky". A memorial service for ?RJ? will be conducted by his great uncle, Rev. Will R. Brown at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel on Leesburg Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to one's charity of choice in ?RJ?s? memory.
