Robert Robbie Matthew Hix

Robert "Robbie" Matthew Hix Robbie Hix, age 28, died on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM. Robbie is survived by his loving daughter, Lexie Rae Hix and his parents, Donald and Margie of Bernalillo, NM; his brother Donnie Hix, his brother's girlfriend Irene Baca and three nephews, Ethan, Spencer and Lukas of Albuquerque; and his grandmother, Sharon Hodges of Roswell, NM. Robbie is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Robbie was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Isaias and Tillie Mascarenas, and Cecil Hix; his uncles Robert Hix and Tony Mascarenas and his godfather, Louis Molinas. Robbie was born on July 5th, 1989 in Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from Rio Rancho high school in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, where he played football and wrestled for the Rio Rancho Rams. Robbie's greatest accomplishment in life was his daughter, Lexie. They shared a great love for the outdoors where they loved to go to the lake to fish, the mountains to hike and having daddy-daughter dates which included picnics on the walkover at Jefferson over I-25, going to the Chill Zone in Bernalillo to get frozen treats or for a canoe ride on the Rio Grande. During the last 10 months of his life, Robbie became homeless and had lost his path in life. He was not loved any less by his family and friends for the decisions he made. The path he chose was one of many obstacles. There is no shame in how Robbie chose to live because he made the best of every thing he did. There was no place that Robbie went where he did not walk away from without making a new friend. Because of his loyalty, his personality and his engaging smile, Robbie had friends in all walks of life. Services are as follows: viewing on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 4:00- 6:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque, 87108; rosary and mass on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. respectedly, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church,
