Robert Michalak

Na Robert Vincent Michalak Robert 81 passed away on September 2, 2013 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. He was born October 10, 1931 in Elma Washington to Joseph and Stella (Fetcher) Michalak. He grew up and attended schools in Elma. Robert served with the US Air Force from 1951 to 1955. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he continued his education at St. Martin’s College, graduating in 1961 with his degree in Education. He taught school in the North Thurston School district for 27 years before he retired. On June 11, 1960 Robert married Audrey Kudrna in Portland, Oregon. They lived in the Olympia area and raised their family. They were kept busy with the many activities. Robert especially enjoyed Fast Pitch and Fishing. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Audrey, 2 sons, David Michalak of Tumwater and Christopher Michalak of Beaverton, Oregon, 2 daughters Theresa Brown of Tenino and Elizabeth Aubry of Lake Oswego, Oregon. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Steve Michalak Colorado Springs, Colorado, William Michalak of North Carolina and Joseph Michalak of Olympia, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
