Robert Arthur Montgomery, 79, of Largo, Florida passed away September 9, 2021 at home. He was born on February 25, 1942 in Springfield, MA to John Lincoln and Theresa Montgomery. Robert worked at AT&T for many years and retired in 1990. He lived in West Springfield, MA 30 prior to moving to Largo, FL with wife Diane Montgomery. He loved boating, water skiing and was an Amateur Radio operator. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Diane Montgomery, Brother William Montgomery, three sons David Montgomery, Douglas Montgomery, and Darren Montgomery of West Springfield, three step children James Scott Taylor, Douglas J. Taylor Jr., and Amy L. Rivera, and three grandchildren Kaitlyn Montgomery, Kyle Montgomery, Analine Rivera, Matthew Taylor, Briana Taylor and Jennifer Taylor He was preceded in death by his mother Theresa Montgomery, father John Lincoln Montgomery, and sister Joannie Decker, and Brother-in-law Nick Decker. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society.
