"Palmer-Robert Lee Morrissette, 77, of Three Rivers, passed away September 4, 2017. Born in Ludlow on January 19, 1940, he was the son of Raymond Morrissette, currently of FL and the late Yvette (Couture) Morrissette. Robert grew up in Indian Orchard and Wilbraham and attended St. Aloysius Elementary School. He then graduated from Springfield Technical High School in 1958. After completing a year of college at UMass, Bob went on to proudly serve his country in the US Navy from 1959-1962. Bob worked as a tool designer at many companies including Zero Manufacturing. In his leisure, he enjoyed woodworking, target practicing and reading. Besides his father, he will is survived by his sister (Christine Morrissette Shurtleff) currently of FL. He will be dearly missed by his longtime significant other, Kathleen Sammon, with whom he lived. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Shelter or Dakin. "
