Robert K. Moses
December 8th, 1944 - February 18th, 2014
Robert K. Moses, 69, of Tucson, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on the afternoon of February 18, 2014. Bob was born to Mrs. Sabina (Peplinski) Moses and the late Mr. Alfred Moses in Deckerville, Michigan on December 8, 1944. Bob held many jobs in his early years but found his true calling when he finally decided to go to Concordia Lutheran College in Ann Arbor, Michiganin the early 80's. In 1984, the family moved to Tucson when he had his first call to Ascension Lutheran Church as Parish Assistant and Youth Minister. In the early 90's, he was the Director of the Tri-Church Youth Ministry, a joint ministry for the youth of American, Streams in the Desert and Calvary Lutheran Churches in Tucson. Eventually he retired from being a paid youth minister but never truly gave up the calling. He has continued to counsel and guide troubled youth whenever they crossed his path and was following that calling when he was called home to the complete comfort of Christ. Bob is survived by his wife, Judy, of 48 years; son - Tim Moses of Columbus, IN; 2 daughters - Debbie Keen and Sarah Wright both of Tucson, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 3 brothers - Richard Moses and wife, Fran of Reno, NV, Ron Moses and wife, Wendie of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Randy Moses and wife, Patti of Traverse City, MI. A memorial service, officiated by Bob's friend and Pastor, Kim Taylor, will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 2:00 pm at American Ev. Lutheran Church, 115 N. Tucson Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716. Any memorials can be sent in Bob's name to American Lutheran Church.
