Church Hill – Robert G “Jerry” Parsons, 78 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 20, 2109 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Elizabethton, he had lived most of his life in Kingsport and few years in Gate City before moving to Church Hill. For over 50 years, Jerry owned and operated Commercial Electronics, Inc. He enjoyed being a Ham Operator with call letters N4WWB “Repeater”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Augustus Parsons and Beatrice Hoss Parsons; brother, Jim Parsons. Jerry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda Weddle Parsons; daughter, Katie Parsons; son, John Parsons; step-daughter, Melissa Blevins; step-sons, Robert Blevins and Brian Blevins and wife Trina; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Carol Bies; brothers-in-law, Bill and Joe Weddle; several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be conducted on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Parsons family.
