Robert "Bobby Blu" Kenneth Paterson Jr.
November 30th, 1982 - February 21st, 2021
Robert Kenneth Paterson Jr. (Bobby Blu), 38, of Northglenn, Colorado, was called home on Sunday, February 21st, 2021. He was born in Joliet, Illinois, on November 30th, 1982. He lived much of his life in Northglenn, Colorado. Bobby was always larger than life and loved as deep as the ocean. Bobby was the kind of brother that would be ok picking on you but do not dare let someone else. He was a loving father, son, brother, and husband. He loved the Denver Broncos, Chicago Blackhawks, and the outdoors. His dream was to move to Alaska, be a mountain man and go deep-sea fishing. Bobby worked for a few years at Amazon as a Robot Technician but was a roofer for over a decade before that. He spent many years with Boulder Roofing and at Colorado Weather Coatings. He loved working outdoors and getting his signature farmer’s tan. His favorite job, also his last job, was being home with his daughter homeschooling during the recent pandemic. Bobby was a fantastic artist and loved to draw and paint. He found peace in being able to sit and just draw. Bobby could tell stories as if they were made for a book. You could always count on Bobby to make you laugh with his silly jokes, antics, and impressions. He was never one to sit still, always on the go. He was a momma’s boy and was not afraid of who knew it. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back and did just that a few times. He had a huge family and his circle of friends was never ending. He was loved and will be missed by all. Preceded in death by his Grandmothers, Annie J Hockinson and June Stewart, his Grandfathers Robert H. Paterson, William Heelan, and Harry Stewart, his Uncle James Heelan, his Aunt Robin DiMattia and Cousin Felisha Heelan. He was survived by his pride and joy daughter, Madison Paterson, his parents Theresa and Jim Ranck and Robert and Linda Paterson, his wife (common law) Amanda Malcomb, his siblings Tiffany Schreiber, James Ranck (Rebecca Scoles), Kelly Surma-Paterson, Carolyn McGuinness (Brian McGuinness), Phylicia Ranck (Jay Baker), Kenneth Paterson (Bianca Rodriguez), Honorary sister April Beal. Additionally, his Grandmother Velma Jean Paterson, Grandfather William B. Hockinson, his four-legged fur baby Spike, his nieces, Sydney Colby, Harmony Ranck, Annalise McGuinness, Aubrey Ranck and Americus (August 2021), his nephews, Jason Paterson, Josiah McGuinness, Donovan Gonzales, Kevin McGuinness, and Noah Ranck, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
