WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Robert Eugene Reed, Jr. age 47 a resident of Winter Haven passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Florida Hospital South in Orlando due to heart failure. Robert was born November 16, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to Robert E. and Wilma Jean (Mercer) Reed, Sr. He has been a longtime resident of Polk County coming from Columbus, Ohio in 1964. He was the owner operator of Reeds Lawn Care of Auburndale. He graduated from Auburndale High School in 1978, was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church -Auburndale and loved baseball. He was preceded in death by his father in 1995. Robert is survived by his loving family: wife: Michelle Mellen Reed of Winter Haven, FL., 1 son: Dylan Reed, Winter Haven, 2 daughters: Cheyenne Reed, Regan Reed, both of Winter Haven, mother: Wilma Jean Mercer Reed of Auburndale, FL, 1 stepsister: Sarah Reed of Ohio, 1 stepbrother: Paul Reed of Ohio. A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Friday at the funeral home chapel.
