Robert G. Riley

" Belchertown – Robert G. Riley, 55, of Michael Sears Rd. was called home March 28, 2005. Born on October 19, 1949 in Holyoke, MA, he was the son of the late Harry Jr. and Mildred (Gamble) Riley. Robert was raised and educated in Chicopee and lived in Springfield before moving to Belchertown 22 years ago. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was an Architectural Consultant for O’Kee Industries, Builders Hardware in Strafford, CT, he previously worked for HCI Craftsmen, Pleasant Hardware in Randolf, MA for many years. Robert coached youth sports in Belchertown. He was the cherished husband of 28 years to Sandra (Morrow) Riley, loving and devoted father of Laura A. Duquette and her husband Eric of Belchertown, James E. Riley of Boston and Amy L. Riley of Ludlow. He also leaves a loving brother Dan Riley of Chicopee, his father-in-law Ed Morrow of Belchertown, sister –in-laws Donna Metcalf and husband Bill of Belchertown and Alice Zucco and Richard of E. Longmeadow and Marge Grealis and Dan of Springfield. He was a loving uncle to Jeffrey Riley, Karlyn Thompson, Bobby Kennedy, Tara, Ryan and Kevin Grealis and Anthony Zucco and the late Timmy Riley. He will also be missed by longtime family friends Ellen Cousineau and Bruce Thompson. Funeral services will be Friday, at 9:15 a.m. from the Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8:00 p.m. with a Video Tribute at 8:00 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to Camp Sunshine 25 Acadia Rd., Casco, ME 04015. "
