Robert David Roncarati
October 1st, 1940 - September 15th, 2021
Belchertown- Robert David Roncarati, Sr., 80, passed away September 15, 2021. He was born on October 1, 1940 in Springfield to the late Louis and Rose (Liquori) Roncarati. Robert graduated from Tech High in Springfield in 1958 and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was previously employed as part owner, with his brothers, of The Il Gallo Nero Italian restaurant in Marin County, CA where he was chef for 5 years. He was later employed as a porter, driver, and supervisor at Lee-Ray Tarantino Inc. in California for over 20 years before retiring and returning to Belchertown. Robert was an avid target shooter and was a member of the Springfield Sportsman Club. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Louis E. Roncarati in 1999 and Ronnie Roncarati in 2008, and by his daughter Wendy Roncarati in 2003. He is survived by his son, Robert Roncarati and wife Rebecca; son, Louis Roncarati; as well as his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Bianca and Shelby Roncarati. All services will be held at the family's discretion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robert's memory to the American Cancer Society.
