" Robert L. Russell, of Federal St., Belchertown, died Wednesday at home. Born in Hadley, November 18, 1922 he was the son of the late William & Katherine (O’Brien) Russell. He grew up in Hadley and has lived in Belchertown for many years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and was discharged as a Seaman Second Class. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Belchertown. Robert was a professional painter in the area for many years, most recently working for Adelson Painting Contractors in S. Deerfield. He was predeceased by his first wife Charlotte (Tiner) in 1966, his second wife Annabelle (Vieau),.and is survived by his 3rd wife, Eileen (Flebut) Russell. Besides his wife, he also leaves 2 sons Leonard of Belchertown and Kevin of Florence, 2 daughters Katherine Jenks of Westfield and Diane Russell of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by a son Robert,Jr. in 1976, and a daughter Karen Russell in 1986. He leaves 3 stepsons, James Gallerani of Sacramento,CA and Ronald Gallerani of Warren, MI and Brian Gallerani of Clausen, MI. He also leaves a sister Eleanor Jolly of Greenfield, 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family requests that donations be made in his memory to St. Francis Church Building Fund, 10 Park Street, Belchertown, 01007. "
