Robert I. Sanchez

Robert I. Sanchez, age 48, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on June 3, 2016, following being diagnosed with Chloangiocarcinoma in June of 2015. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Robert graduated from Belen High School in 1985, where he was quarter back of the varsity football team. He also retired from the New Mexico Department of Corrections after 21 years. Robert was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and loved to barbecue. Robert had a love of fixing and working on cars for his family and friends. He loved to hunt, fish and ride his Harley Davidson. Robert also loved going shooting and four wheeling with his kids. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Emilia Gurule; grandfather, Mariano Apodaca; paternal grandmother Maria Vallejos and Fermin Vallejos; and sister, Lorraine Marie Sanchez. Robert is survived by his wife, Tammi Sanchez; daughters, Suzie, Amanda, and Emily; stepson, Phillip Sanchez; grandchildren, Nathan, Dominique, Huntter, Dylann and Khloe; parents, Henry Sanchez and Julia Apodaca; brother, Richard Sanchez; and nephews Julian, Jonathan and Daniel; niece, Elizabeth; as well as many great loving friends. All services will take place on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church beginning with recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 AM, with Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
