Robert John Seymour Aug. 16, 1924 - Dec. 30, 2011 Resident of Pleasant Hill Robert (Bob) Seymour, 87, of Pleasant Hill, CA, died December 30, 2011 at his home. Bob was born August 16, 1924 in San Francisco, CA to George and Grace Seymour. He attended Santa Rosa High School in Santa Rosa, CA. He continued his education at the University of California at Berkeley and received a bachelor's degree in 1948. He served as a navigator for the U.S. Army AirCorp during World War II.He enjoyed his family and rooting on the Cal Bears. He is survived by his sister, Jane Cain, daughter Joan Chamberlain, sons Bill (Debbie) and Donald (Elizabeth) Seymour, his grandsons Daniel (Jill) and Thomas (Karie) Chamberlain, Benjamin and Isaac Seymour, and his great grandson Samuel Chamberlain. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday; Jan. 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 50 Woodsworth Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA. A reception celebrating his life will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the East Bay, 3470 Buskirk Ave, Pleasant Hill CA 94523, for the loving care they provided to both Bob and Virginia.
