Robert "Bob" Thomas Sherry
March 7th, 1951 - May 25th, 2022
Robert Thomas Sherry, a resident of Mullica Hill formerly of Deptford and Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. He was 71. Legacy Bob graduated from Deptford High School in 1970 where he was a member of the High School Color Guard and bowling team. In his younger years, Bob was an avid bowler who was on the Best Bowling League for several years. Bob enjoyed fast cars, was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, enjoyed collecting specialty coins, historical and sports memorabilia and whatever might have tickled his fancy at the time. He also loved playing cards with friends and especially playing Gin with his godson/nephew on a weekly basis. While attending family functions Bob was also known for keeping his nieces, nephews and cousins entertained with telling them funny and crazy stories of things that he and his siblings did while growing up. After graduating high school Bob was employed as Weigh Master for Fazzio's Landfill in Bellmawr, NJ., Pollack & Abrams in Philadelphia, PA., Camden Iron and Metal in Camden, NJ., and for the last 24 years at American Asphalt in Collingswood, NJ before retiring in 2021. Family Robert was born in 1951 to the late Raymond James Sherry, Sr. and Helen Gloria Sherry (Hannigan). He is the beloved brother of Raymond James Sherry, Jr. (Gail), Richard C. Sherry, Sr. (Pat), Bruce G. Sherry (Linda), Kevin M. Sherry (Kim) and the late Patricia Ann Sherry; special friend, Joanne; loving uncle to RJ, Jean, Donnalee, Richard, Jr., Keith, Christopher, and Kevin, Jr. and many great nephews and nieces. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, June 4th from 11am-1pm in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street. A memorial service will follow.
