Robert "Bob" Zion Steinberg

Robert (Bob) Zion Steinberg, 79, of Hilton Head Island and formerly of Detroit, Michigan passed Monday, June 25, 2018 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. He was born on January 20, 1939 in Detroit, MI to Faye Bernstein and Norman Steinberg. Bob was a distinguished member of the Hilton Head Island community and a very successful businessman. He was the founder of Hilton Head Business Brokers and partners in ownership of Heritage Plaza. Bob is survived by his beloved son, Paul Norman Steinberg and spouse Meredith Allain; grandchildren, Cory Joseph Steinberg, Sean Nicolas Steinberg, Olivia Allain, Owen Allain; great grandchildren, Kaeden, Bentlei and Cheslei; daughter, Laura Sue Steinberg; brother, Allen Steinberg and his wife Shelly; nieces, Jodi Gonterman and the late Lisa Kindred; step-daughter, Gail Ball and cousin and business partner, David Lichtenstein. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Carmell (Kaye) Delores Steinberg. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 27 at 10 am at Six Oaks Cemetery. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory.
