Robert StillCRESWELL — Robert A. Still of Creswell died May 15 of age-related causes. He was 90. No service is planned.He was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Alberta, Canada, to James and Mary Gallaher Still. He married Lorraine Battey on Aug. 24, 1946, in Portland.He graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in science in 1948. He received his teaching degree from Walla Walla College in 1965 and his master’s degree in inner disciplinary studies from the University of Oregon.He served in the Navy as a hospital corpsman in the South Pacific during World War II. He farmed for 16 years, raising wheat, peas and cattle, and did amateur rodeo. He taught middle school at Pleasant Hill in 1965 and 1966 and middle school in Veneta from 1966 until he retired in 1992.Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary of Eugene; two sisters, Janet Buchanan of Walla Walla, Wash., and Agnes Goodman of Kennewick, Wash.; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
