October 31st, 1967 - April 25th, 2012
"Palmer - Robert V. Syrek., 44, of Beacon Drive, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2012. He was born October 31, 1967 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late Robert V. Syrek and Janet (Demers) Woods of Ludlow. Robert worked for the Belchertown Highway Department as well as for Marken Properties in Belchertown for 20 years. He will be remembered for his kind spirit and for his ability to work with the elderly and disabled at Mill Hollow apartments. His greatest joy in life was taking care of his two beloved daughters. Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters Savannah and Amanda Syrek of Palmer. He also leaves a brother David Syrek of Ludlow, sister Kimberly Syrek and Edward Hodge of Belchertown, nephew Anthony Syrek and Susan (Matusko) Syrek. Calling hours will be Monday, April 30, 2012 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. A Service will follow the calling hours at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW National Headquarters, 406 W. 34th St., Kansas City, MO 64111. "
