Robert S. Trowbridge

Robert "Bob" S. Trowbridge: 78, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on October 11, 1932 to J.H. and Grace Trowbridge, into a pioneering family of Pinellas County. Bob grew up as the only son surrounded by his three sisters, Mary Maude, Margaret Lois, and Carolyn "Callie". Bob worked alongside his father in the family business as grove caretakers for various citrus groves across the state. The business was later sold to Orange Blossom Groves where Bob worked for the rest of his career. He met his wife, Jo Ann, at Seminole Methodist in 1950. They married on July 18, 1953. They were blessed with two sons, Stephen and Jeffrey, and a daughter, Robin. Bob is a veteran of the United States Army having served as Military Police while stationed in Germany from 1954 to 1956. He is preceded in death by his sister Callie. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, his sisters, Mary Maud and Margaret Lois; son Stephen and his wife Lynn, of Ozark, AL; son Jeffrey and his wife Kathleen, of Seminole, FL; his daughter Robin and her husband Jeffrey, of Las Vegas, NV. Also loved by grandchildren Jessica and her husband John, Sara, Timothy and Sharon, Stephanie, Justin, Matthew, Kyle and great-grandchildren Noah and Emily. Whether you wanted to hear it or not, Bob never turned down the opportunity to share one of his many stories, jokes, and pearls of wisdom.
