Robert "Jeff" Turnage

Robert “Jeff” Turnage, 68, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on April 22, 1955, in Annapolis, Maryland. He was the son of the late Robert E. and Martha (Burnett) Turnage. Jeff graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1977. He was a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi and the USC Marching Band. He was also a member of the Delta Sigma Pi and loved his Brothers. Shortly after graduation, he began his career in accounting. After earning his CPA, he enjoyed a successful accounting career spanning 35 years. He enjoyed sunny days on the golf course and watching his beloved Gamecocks play football. Jeff was well known for his deep love and devotion to his family. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Starla Moore Turnage; two children, Robert Turnage of Pollocksville, NC and Lauren Turnage of Lexington, SC; and sister, Kathy McKinney (Don) of Columbia, SC. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 2 at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
