Robert Frank Vasquez, 53, of Castroville, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, May 8, 2008. He was born February 1, 1955, in Salinas, California. He was a member of the Castroville "Midnighters" Car Club. He loved his profession in auto restoration. He especially enjoyed cars and attending car shows. Robert is survived by daughter Vanessa Vasquez of Prunedale grandson Isaiah Serrato of Prunedale mother Antonia Ramirez- Guevara of Prunedale sisters Anita Centeno of Rosarito Beach, Baja California, Mexico Theresa (Greg) Marina of Las Vegas, Nevada Barbara Sandoval of Castroville Vera (Daniel) Rodriguez of Castroville Stella (Anthony) Diaz of Castroville Cathy Valdes of Las Vegas, Nevada brother Michael Valdes of Prunedale best friend Frank Rodriguez of Castroville loyal four-legged friend, Deuce along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, greatnieces and greatnephews. preceded in death by father Frank Flores Vasquez in 1977. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
