Robert G Walker
January 3rd, 1942 - January 19th, 2024
Robert G. “Bobby” Walker passed away on January 19, 2024, due to complications from pneumonia. He was 82 years old. He was born in Lake Alfred to Bill Walker, Sr. and Lina Mincey on January 3, 1942. Bobby was a quiet man with an infectious laugh – one minute wanting solitude, the next pulling some kind of prank on a friend or family member. In his younger days, he was a member of the famous Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team and also earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman. When he wasn’t casting a line in a lake or out in the woods with his rifle, he was settling down to watch his other passion – College Football, especially the Florida Gators. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Lynn, as well as six brothers and sisters: Jabbo, Nadine, Ouida, Bill Jr., Betty, and Hilda. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Walker, Polk City, FL, his son, Robert Allen Walker, Panama City, FL, his sister, Shirley Jean Walker, Auburndale, FL, his brother, Corky Walker, Winter Haven, FL as well as his stepsons, Todd Stayner, Hartwell, GA and Jason Stayner, Colorado Springs, CO, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. “Bobby, Rest in peace in God’s care!!” Memorial services will be held at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale, FL on Saturday, January 27th at 10:00am with viewing directly preceding from 9:00 – 10:00am.
