Rodney "Rod" Cox

Cox, Rodney “Rod” 75 of Land O Lakes passed away on November 26, 2021 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Rod was an avid outdoorsman. His two passions were golf and anything water related. He took pleasure in being a member of the TBGTE Golf League for 25 years. He also enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, spear fishing and boating which included a 25 ton Masters Merchant Marine license. He had many fond memories of being a 10 year member of the Lake Padgett Water Ski Club. He started his business career with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company where he worked for 20 years holding several management positions. His real estate career began in 1986, eventually opening his own real estate office RK Realty, Inc. in Land O Lakes with his wife Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Molly Cox. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Kathy; brother Danny Cox and wife Annette; children Brian Cox of Land O Lakes and wife Ashley; daughter Teresa Kuhl and husband James of Creighton, Nebraska; grandchildren Jordyn, Kasey, and Ethan Kuhl; Haley Umberger, Tatum, and Gavin Cox; and great grandchild Taz Robinson. A memorial service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to your favorite charity.
