Rodney Lynn Hayes
September 12th, 1953 - April 15th, 2021
Rodney Lynn Hayes 67, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April, 15, 2021 at his home. He was born in 1953 to the late Joseph and Nell Hayes of Bluefield, West Virginia. The family moved to Kingsport in 1966. Rodney retired from Kingsport Brace and Limb after over 36 years of employment. He attended Dobyns-Bennett High School. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Dale Hayes; sister, Emmaline Hayes. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Lois Hayes; special friend, Marc Simpson; two nieces, Yuvonne and Terri Lynn Hayes; special cousins, Jane Thornhill and Charli Lucier; along with a host of friends. An entombment service will be conducted at 3 pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 pm. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Avalon Hospice for their loving care. Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport is serving the Hayes family.
