Rodney (Rod) Thomas Parks Rod Parks (83) of Timnath, CO passed away on April 18, 2023. He is survived by his wife Sharon Parks, two sons Scott (Nicki) Parks and Randy (Allison) Parks, five grandchildren Christina (Thomas) Riggs, Nathan, Eric, Shannon, Lauren, and his brother Phil (Barbara) Parks. He is also survived by step-siblings William Bryant, Patricia Franzen, and Barbara Howell. Rod had a great life. He loved the outdoors including running, skiing, camping, hiking and riding his bike. He also enjoyed basketball, softball, and was an avid golfer later in life. Rod was born in Paxton, IL. He attended Paxton High School, later he graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He could often be heard saying Oskee-wow-wow, Illinois as he followed the Fighting Illini. Upon graduating he accepted a job with Hewlett-Packard in Loveland, CO where he worked for 26 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Jewish Health or a charity of your choice. https://www.nationaljewish.org/home
