Roessler B. Ferrara was welcomed into heaven on April 15, 2012. Born on August 4, 1930 in Charleston, South Carolina, Mrs. Ferrara was the daughter of the late Charles Roessler Burbage and Edith Rumph-Ann Burbage. She was a graduate of Ashley Hall. In 1952 she married Paul Ferrara and together they raised five children before his passing in 1996. Mrs. Ferrara loved reading, crossword and logic puzzles and loved using her mind. She was an extremely intelligent woman and until the end was reading a book a day. She also loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was an inspiration to those who loved her most. Mrs. Ferrara was predeceased in death by her father Charles Roessler Burbage, mother Edith Rumph-Ann Burbage and sister Phyllis (Burbage) Van Ness. She is survived by her brother Rusty Burbage of Boca Raton, Fl; and her children Paul B. Ferrara, Jr. (Brenda) of North Charleston, SC; William R. Ferrara (Julie) of Aiken, SC; David C. Ferrara (Barbara) of Charleston, SC; Charlotte A. Ferrara (Tommy Alge) of Charleston, SC; Thomas G. Ferrara (Joyce) of North Charleston, SC; two grandchildren whom she raised as her own, Paul B. Ferrara, III (Janel) of North Charleston, SC; and Michael Adam Ferrara (Becky) of Fort Mill, SC; and nine grandchildren, Grant Ferrara, Andrew Ferrara, David Ferrara, Jr., Jennifer Ferrara, Samantha Ferrara, Gracen Kahn, Sara Kahn, Tommy Ferrara and four great grandchildren. There will be a private graveside funeral at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services
