Roger William Beaner

Obituary In Loving Memory of Roger William Beaner Roger passed away from heart failure on Monday October 11th, 2021. Roger was born in Miller, SD in 1931 to Rupert and Mary Beaner, he was the 4th child and the first boy of the 16 children born into this marriage. He moved his family to Fort Collins in October 1965. He spent his adult life in the auto body repair business and in 1972 opened Choice City Auto Body, with a partner, in Fort Collins. He became sole owner in 1979. Roger and JoAnn (Jodi) were members of St Josephs Catholic Church until moving south of town and joining Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parrish in 1981 when it was established and have remained faithful members ever since. Through the years Roger was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served with the Army National Guard in both South Dakota and Colorado. Roger was known for being a kind, gentle, simple man. He was a man who could fix and/or build just about anything. Roger loved being outside and working in his garden. His tomatoes were second to none! Roger, was loved and will be missed dearly by his family who thought the world of him! He is survived by his wife of 68 years JoAnn Beaner, his children Rex of Fort Collins, CO, Valerie (Bo) Tumlinson of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Andrea (Lennie) Jordan of Windsor, CO. His grandchildren Alissa Beaner (Fort Collins, CO), Roger Beaner II (Loveland, CO), Kristy Stroup (Deer Lodge, MT), Becky Beaner (Elliston, MT), James Jordan (Cheyenne, WY) and Danny Jordan (Ault, CO), and, seven great grandchildren. Roger was preceded in death by his granddaughter Rachael Beaner (2016) and his son Mark Beaner (2021). Larimer County mask mandate in effect beginning October 20.
