Roger Clifton Benson

Roger passed away April 9, 2024 at the age of 77 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington from a recurring Lymphoma after an 8-year remission. Roger was born at Swedish Hospital August 21,1946 to Dr. and Mrs. Clifton Benson of Tracyton, Washington. Roger graduated from Central Kitsap High School, class of 1964. He also graduated from Pacific Lutheran University class of 1968 with a BA in business . Roger enjoyed a successful career in International Sales in the Transportation Industry including Air Freight and Ocean Carriers, which allowed him many years of international travel. Roger was an avid reader, golfer, and wine enthusiast. Roger was a “Good Time Charley” with a witty sense of humor. Roger enjoyed his retirement the past 10 years spending the winter months in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife Suzanne. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his sister Sandra Bergman of Tacoma, WA. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Suzanne of Woodway, WA; his brother Philip Clifton Benson of Scottsdale, AZ; and his favorite four-legged buddy Snickers Doodle. At Roger’s request there will not be a funeral. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in honor of Roger to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
