Ronald Boyd Bivens

Ronald (Ron) Boyd Bivens, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on December 25, 2013 in La Salle, CO, surrounded by his family. He was born in Sidney, NE on February 17, 1950 to Boyd and Lillian (Timm) Bivens. Ron was raised in Grover, CO, and attended Pawnee High School. He married Rhonda Sue Bivens (Grogan) on June 9, 1979. Together, Ron and Rhonda owned and operated Bivens Excavating in Colorado Springs. An avid rockhound, Ron loved prospecting and rock hunting and enjoyed sharing his collections with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Rhonda, parents Boyd and Lillian Bivens, sister DeAnn Bryson, nieces and nephews Timm Bryson, Beau Bryson, Brandon Emerson, Hannah Williams, Eli Williams, Rachel Williams, Esther Williams, Brianna Grogan, Alicia Grogan, and C.J. Grogan and grand niece Caroline Bryson.. Ron was preceded in death by his nephew Chris Hadley.
