Ronald L. Casebier, 83, passed away September 25, 2017 in Lacey, Washington. He was born October 11, 1933 to Louis “Roy” and Ada Casebier in Topeka, Kansas. Over the years, he also lived in Shelton, Washington (1960-1989), Stamford, Connecticut (1989-1994), and Olympia, Washington (1994-2017). Ron earned a BS in Chemistry from Washington State University (1955), and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota (1959). He worked as a chemist and later executive for ITT Rayonier from 1959 to his retirement in 1998. He married Beverly Barber in December 5, 1959. After her death on August 15, 1991, he married Janelle Briggs on October 14, 1995 in Olympia. Ron was an avid gardener, made Tiffany stained glass lamps, and collected art glass. He was a member of Mountain View Nazarene Church. He is survived by his wife, Janelle Casebier; son, Joel Casebier, his wife, Joan, and their children, Jessica (Alex) and Jonathan (Kayla); son, David Casebier, his wife, Anne; son, Mike Briggs, his wife, Lynn and their son Brian (Angel); daughter, Connie (Briggs) Moffitt, her husband, Bob, and their children, Natasha and Zackerie.
