Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Ronald L. Christiansen
December 3rd, 1947 - January 8th, 2018
Ron was born December 3, 1947 in Auburn, Washington, to Alfred Gordon Christiansen and Vivian Mae (Collins) Christiansen. He died peacefully at his Olympia, Washington, home on January 8, 2018, surrounded by his immediate family. Ron graduated from Auburn Adventist Academy in 1967, and later took college courses concentrating on Accounting. Ron worked at Raudenbush Auto Parts in Olympia, Washington; Jim Pauley Ford in Shelton, Washington, as Parts Manager; Tumwater Auto Parts in Tumwater, Washington; and in 1981, he began employment with the Kitsap County Auditor’s Office in Port Orchard, Washington, where he worked for nearly 30 years. Ron loved classic cars. He never saw a car on the road that he didn’t recognize the make/model of. A history buff his entire life, he loved watching the History Channel and reading about the World Wars and other events of history, as well as going to museums. Ron loved to attend the Puyallup Fair each year, ride the rollercoaster, and eat scones. He loved gardening, reading his Bible, and researching biblical history. Most of all, Ron loved his family. Ron is survived by his wife, Raelene (Dovich) Christiansen; son, Colin (Kristen) Christiansen; grandson, Curtis Christiansen; brothers, Steve and Wayne Christiansen; sisters, Vicki (Harald) Jones and Maryann Christiansen; nieces, K.C. Cordiner (Duane) and Krista Christiansen; nephew, J.R. Christiansen (Laura); and great nephews, Kian, Evan and Navarro Christiansen and Adam Cordiner. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ron will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He passed away knowing that the next thing he would see would be his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ calling him to arise and go to heaven, and, alive and healed, he will be forever with the Lord. Please leave memories of Ron or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
