Ronald A. Dewane
April 23rd, 1934 - February 17th, 2014
Ronald A. Dewane of Waukesha, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, at the age of 79 years. Ron was a man of deep faith. He loved his family and took great pride in their accomplishments. He was born in Maribel, Wisconsin on April 23, 1934, the son of Dennis and Beatrice (Bottoni) Dewane. Ron was a graduate of St. Norbert College where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. On September 20, 1958, at St. John's Cathedral in Milwaukee, Ron was united in marriage to Joan Sheridan. He was employed by Paul Lewis Laboratories/Pfizer Corp. The family relocated to Waukesha in 1970 where Ron began working as a Public Health Inspector with the Waukesha Health Department. He was employed there for thirty years. Ron has been a member of St. William Catholic Church for over forty-three years. He is currently a lay member of the Discalced Carmelites and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and a former Religious Education Instructor. Ron enjoyed watching the Packers and had coached Youth Baseball for many years. Ron will be dearly missed by his loving wife of over fifty-five years, Joan, children, Judy (Janice Maneke) Dewane of DeForest, WI; Tim (Nancy) Dewane of Waterford, WI; Dennis (Carlene) Dewane of Liverpool, NY; John Dewane of Waukesha, WI; six grandchildren, Tony, Megan, Alex, Adam, Dante and Devin Dewane; two sisters, Lorna Lee Lawler of Sarasota, FL and Anne (Forest) Bishop of Waukesha. Also surviving is Bud Stange, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Dewane and Beatrice Dewane-Stange and by one brother, Russel (Jan) Dewane. The visitation for Ron will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188, from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. The Rev. Kevin Barnekow will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Ron may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142, Discalced Carmelites, 1525 Carmel Road, Hubertus, WI 53033 or to St. William Catholic Church (Please see address above).
