Ronald "Ron" Leo Goudreau
May 30th, 1956 - July 13th, 2023
Ronald Goudreau, age 67, of Nokomis, FL, passed away on July 13, 2023. He was born to Ronald and Ella Goudreau on May 30, 1956, in Lynn, MA. Ron attended the Lynn area schools and earned a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University. Ron worked for Eastern Airlines in Eastern traffic control and then became a Business Manager for the State of Massachusetts before he retired. Ron moved from Lynn and lived with his wife, Francine, in Peabody for 3 decades before moving to Florida. Ron was highly intelligent and handy. He loved cars, dining out and being with friends and family. Other favorite activities were watching westerns, sports and Columbo with his little dog, Frankie, by his side. He participated in the Corvette Club and the Gun Club in Middleton, MA. In Florida, he was a member of the Venice Newcomers Club, NOVA, the Moose, and the “fun, loving group at Panera.” Surviving family members include his wife of 42 years, Francine Goudreau (nee Carey) of Nokomis; sister June Bennett of Lynn, MA; nieces Julia Bennett of Lynn, MA, Elizabeth Morneault (Tom) of Tewksbury, MA, and Michele Mauri (Peter) of Saugus, MA; nephew Brian DiSanto of Melrose, MA; and great nephews and nieces. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, Venice, on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 10 – 11 am. Funeral Mass will be the same day at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 11:30 am followed by burial at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to St. Jude’s Childrens’ Hospital, PETA, the Sarasota Humane Society, or the charity of your choice would be welcome.
