Ronald Lee Gravatt
March 6th, 1954 - August 10th, 2021
Ronald (Ron) L. Gravatt, 67, or Rab Rd, North Charleston, SC passed away peacefully at Roper Hospice Cottages at 8:15 am on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, with family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. Ron was born in Greenville, PA on February 6, 1954 to to Charles O. Gravatt and Dixie (Gruver) Gravatt. In his younger years, Ron and a good friend Tim Walker joined the US Navy under the buddy system. After getting out of the navy, Ron moved to Texas where he owned his own construction company. Ron loved building and was very good at it. In addition to his girlfriend of many years, Robyn Milia, he is survived by a son, Nicholas Gravatt, 2 sisters, Debra J. Means of North Carolina and Cindy Gravatt with her companion George of Pennsylvania, 1 brother, Doug Gravatt of Pennsylvania, a granddaughter, Aryana Russum of Texas, several nieces and nephews, along with many great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Beatrice Gravatt, granparents, Henry and Edna May (Tanner) Gruver, and Otis T and Grace (Stewart) Gravatt. The funeral service will take place with military honors on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Fort Jackson National Military Cemetary, 4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC.
