Ronald (Ronny) Keith Harrison Former Encino resident Ronny Keith Harrison passed away on June 25 in Albuquerque, NM. He was 61 years of age. He was born on March 17, 1959, in Vaughn NM, to Ray and Thelma (Dunn) Harrison of Encino — the 11th of the couple's 14 children. Growing up he lived with his family in Encino, NM, and later lived in Lubbock, TX., Sierra Vista, AZ., and Albuquerque, NM. Ronny was a lineman for 35 years working in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona. He worked in building and maintaining overhead and underground powerlines. Ronny was a lifelong Pittsburg Steelers fan. He loved singing and enjoyed many different kinds of music including Elvis (his favorite), country, and gospel. He enjoyed riding horses and team roping but later in life gave them up for his Harley Davidson motorcycles which he loved riding with all his friends and family. Ronny was the life of the party always telling jokes and keeping everyone laughing. He had a huge heart and loved his family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Thelma Harrison; and three brothers, George Harrison, Kenny Harrison, and Robert Harrison. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Jennifer Harrison (and husband Matthew Atkins), Desarae Barela; two sons, Joseph Harrison and Michael Barela; and two grandsons, Keith Harrison and Kacie Harrison-Atkins. He also is survived by seven sisters and their families, Tana Ballard and husband Troy, Deana Holocker and husband John, Norma Ortiz and husband Modesto, Susie Clark, Barbara Bounds, Margaret Veuthey, and Pearl Ray Hunt; two brothers and their families, Jerry Harrison and wife Beatrice, and Mike Harrison and wife Kathy; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, plus a vast number of friends. The services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 10th, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
